This implies that the slope of the opposite sides are equal

SO NOW,

In parallelogram ABCD,

           TO PROVE:    SIDE AB II CD AND SIDE AC II BD

          Slope(m) = y2 - y1/x2-x1

slope of AB = x-(x-1)/3x+2-3x

                     = 1/2

slope of CD = x+1-(x+2)/3x+1-(3x+3)

                    = -1/-2

                    = 1/2

Similarly we can prove that slope of AC = slope of BD

Hence proved that ABCD are vertices of a parallelogram.
