Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(AB)²+(AC)²=(BC)²

AB=√( -1-4)²+(y-3)² and AC =√(3-4)²+(4-3)² and BC=√(3--1)²+(4-y)²

(AB)²=(-5)²+y²+9-6y and AC²=(-1)²+(1)²  and BC²=(4)²+(4-y)²

AB²=25+9+y²-6y and AC²=1+1   and  BC²=16+16+y²-8y

AB²=y²-6y+34  and AC²=2    and  BC²=y²-8y+32

AB²+AC²=BC²

y²-6y+34+2=y²-8y+32

y²-y²-6y+8y=32-36

2y= -4

y=(-2)
