As we know that :

Sum of A.P. =

 \frac{n}{2} (a + l)

According to the question :

(a + 4) + 5a + (7a + 2) = \frac{3}{2} (a + 4+ 7a + 2) \\ \\ = > 13a + 6 = \frac{3}{2} (8a + 6) \\ \\ = > 26a + 12 = 24a + 18 \\ \\ = > 2a = 6 \\ \\ = > a = 3

So, the value of a will be 3
