Given : a  = - 4

b = 3

To Find :  d(ab)

Solution:

d(ab) = | b - a |

b = 3

a = - 4

=> d(ab)  = | 3 - (-4) |

=> d(ab)  = | 3+ 4 |

=> d(ab)  = | 7 |

=> d(ab)  = 7

Hence d(ab)  is 7
