let median lie on point M on BC = (-3-1)/2, (8-2)/2..........( since M is the midpoint of BC)

M= (-2,3)

length of median = $\sqrt{(5+2)^2+(-1-3)^2}$

=$\sqrt{65} cm$

coordinates of centroid = (5-3-1)/3 , (-1-2+8)/3

= (1/3,5/3)
