putting the value a =5 and b =-3

4 {a}^{2} + 5b - 3 \\ \\ = 4 ({5}^{2} ) + 5( - 3) - 3 \\ \\ = 4 \times 25 - 15 - 3 \\ \\ = 100 - 18 \\ \\ = 82

Substitute a = 5 , b = -3 in

the given expression

4a² + 5b - 3

= 4 × 5² + 5 ( -3 ) - 3

= 100 - 15 - 3

= 100 - 18

= 82
