Answer:

The acceleration of the body will be 4 m/s²

Explanation:

There is one mass(M¹)= 60kg.

Second Mass(M2)= 15 kg.

Total mass(M) = (60+15)kg= 75kg.

Force applied(F)= 300N

According to Newton's Second law of motion.

We know,

F=m×a

300=75×a

a=300/75

a= 4 m/s².

Therefore the acceleration of body is 4 m/s².

Given info : if a 60 kg personon a 15 kg sled is pushed with a force of 300N.

To find : the acceleration of person is ..

solution : both person and sled are moving after pushing with a force 300N. so the force acting on the system of person and sled is 300N.

from Newton's 2nd law, force = mass × acceleration

hence, F=(m_1+m_2)a

here m₁ = mass of person = 60 kg

m₂ = mass of sled = 15 kg

F = 300 N

300N=(60kg+15kg)a\\\\a=\frac{300N}{75kg}=4ms^{-2}

therefore the acceleration of the person is 4 m/s².
