Given ,

Mass  \: m = 70 \:  kg

Force \:  F = 350  \: N \:  or \:  350 \:  kg  \: m \:   {s}^{ - 2}

Acceleration \:  a =  \: ?

F =  \: m ×  a

 = 350  \: N = 70 \:  kg × a

 = 350 \:  kg  \: m \:   {s}^{ - 2}  = 70 \:  kg × a

 =  \frac{350 \: kg \: m \:  {s}^{ - 2} }{70 \: kg}  = a

or \:  \: a  =  \frac{350 \: kg \: m \:  {s}^{ - 2} }{70 \: kg}

a = 5 \: m \:  {s}^{ - 2}

If a 70 kg swimmer pushes off wall with a force of 350N,at what rate will the swimmer accelerate from the wall.

According to Newton’s third law, the wall exerts an equal and opposite force on the swimmer.

Now that we have this, all we need to do is use Newton’s second law to find acceleration.

F=ma

F=350N

m=70kg

350=70a

a=5m/s^2
