First we will divide Rs500 by 8m to see what is the cost of the cloth per m/ 1m i.e. Rs62.5 per m. Now we will multiply the cost of 1m to 5.8m to find the cost of 5.8m and the answer will be Rs362.5

than 5.8 costs=500/8×5.8
............................=500/8×50/10
=50/8×58
