HERE IS UR ANSWER DEAR,

a(a-2),3a,.........are in AP

so

first term = a(a-2) = a²-2a

common

difference = d = second term - first term

= 3a - ( a²-2a)

= 3a - a² + 2a

now equate this with 0

3a -a²+2a= 0.

5a-a² = 0

a ( 5-a) = 0

a= 0 ; 5-a = 0

a= 0 ; a= 5
