a/a+b = 17/23
On cross multiplying, we get
23a = 17a + 17b
==>6a=17b
==>a=17b/6 ..........(1)
Now,
a+b/a-b
Using (1), we get
{(17b/6) + b} / {(17b/6) - b}
==>{17b + 6b} / {17b - 6b}
==> 23b / 11b
==> 23/11
Hence, a+b / a-b = 23/11
On cross multiplying, we get
23a = 17a + 17b
==>6a=17b
==>a=17b/6 ..........(1)
Now,
a+b/a-b
Using (1), we get
{(17b/6) + b} / {(17b/6) - b}
==>{17b + 6b} / {17b - 6b}
==> 23b / 11b
==> 23/11
Hence, a+b / a-b = 23/11
