AxB does not equal BxA.

The value of n(A×B) and n(B×A) is 9.

Given:

A={a,b,c}

B={x,y,z}

To Find:

The value of AxB and BxA and show AxB ≠ BxA.

The value of n(AxB) and n(BxA).

Solution:

i) A×B = {a,b,c}×{x,y,z}

         = {(a,x),(a,y),(a,z),(b,x),(b,y),(b,z),(c,x),(c,y),(c,z)}

ii) B×A = {x,y,z}× {a,b,c}

           = {(x,a),(x,b),(x,c),(y,a),(y,b),(y,c),(z,a),(z,b),(z,c)}

Therefore, AxB does not equal BxA.

n(A) = 3, n(B) = 3

iii) n(A×B)= n(A) × n(B)

                = 3×3

                = 9

iv) n(B×A) = n(B) × n(A)

                = 3×3

                = 9

Therefore, The value of n(A×B) and n(B×A) is 9.
