Step-by-step explanation:

a -b= 70 .... given

a= 70+b ......eq(1)

a and b forms a straight line

a+b= 180. ....eq(2)

putting the value of a in eq(2) we have

(70+b)+b= 180

2b= 180-70

b = 110/2 = 55

therefore a= 70+b= 70+55 = 125

hence a= 125

and b= 55
