Given :  A and B are any two sets then

To Find : A U ( A ∩ B ) is equal to

a) A

b) B

c) A=B

d) A not equal to B

Solution:

A U ( A ∩ B )

A ∩ B  implies common Elements of A and  B

Hence

A ∩ B  ⊂ A , B

A U  ( A ∩ B )

And A ∩ B ⊂ A

Hence  A U  ( A ∩ B )  = A

A U ( A ∩ B ) is equal to   A

option a  is correct
