 Given \: If \: 'a' \: and \: 'b' \: are \: negative \\integers \: and \: a \gt b , then \: the \: point \\(a+b , a-b) \: will \: lie \: in \\\underline{\green { 2^{nd}\: Quadrant }

Example:

 Let \: a = -2 \: and \: b = -5

 i ) a + b\\ = -2 + (-5 ) \\= -2 - 5 \\= -7 \lt 0

 ii) a - b \\= -2 - (-5) \\= -2 + 5 \\ = 3 \gt 0

 \therefore ( a+b , a-b ) = ( -7, 3)

 \green { Lie \: in \: 2^{nd} \: Quadrant }
