Answer:

Concept :

A quotient of two whole numbers can be used to represent rational numbers. They are written as a fraction a/b, where a and b are both integers and b differs from zero. The majority of people have trouble telling simple fractions and rational numbers apart. While integers make constitute the numerator and denominator of rational numbers, whole numbers make up fractions.

Explanation:

Given :

     \frac{2 + \sqrt{3} }{2 - \sqrt{3}} = a+b\sqrt{3}

Taking LHS

  =  \frac{2 + \sqrt{3} }{2 - \sqrt{3}}

= \frac{2 + \sqrt{3} }{2 + \sqrt{3}} ×\frac{2 - \sqrt{3} }{2 - \sqrt{3}}

= \frac{( 2 + \sqrt{3} ^{2} )}{4 -3}

= 7+4√3

= a+b√3

•°• a=7,b=4
