Answer:

If a and b are the roots of the equation

we have X^2+ aX-b

= ( X+a) (X-b )

= X^2+ ( a- b) X

Then

a= ( a+b)

b= -ab

and this is

b= 2a

b (1-a) = 0

so the possibilities is

a= 0 ^ b = 0

a = 1 ^ b= -2
