If a and B are the zeroes of polynomial f(x) = x2 - 5x + k such that
a - B = 1 find the value of k.​

Answer:

f(x)=X^2-5X+k

a-B=1

squaring both side:-

(a-B)^2=(1)^2

(a-B)^2-4aB=1

Now,in given polynomial

a+B=5

a.B=k

putting g the values

(a+B)^2-4aB=1

(5)^2-4(k)=1

25-4k=1

-4k= -24

k=6
