x² + 5x + 5

⇒ a = 1; b = 5; c = 5

\alpha +\beta = -b/a

\alpha +\beta = -5/1 ------------> eq.1

\alpha\beta = c/a

\alpha \beta = 5/1------------------> eq.2

∴ the zeroes are -5 and 5.

the value of \alpha ^-1 + \beta ^-1

1/\alpha + 1/\beta = \alpha  + \beta /\alpha \beta

⇒ -5 / 5 [ from eq. 1 and eq. 2]

⇒ -1
