a and b are the zeros of polynomial x² + 8x + 6.

Sum of zeros = (-b/a)

a + b = -(8/1)

a + b. = -8 ............................. 1

Product of zeros = (c/a)

ab = (6/1)

ab = 6 .......................... 2

From 1

a + b = -8

a = -8 - b

In 2

ab = 6

(-8-b) (b) = 6

-b² -8b = 6

b² + 8b = -6

b² + 8b + 6 = 0
