If a and B are the zeroes of x2 - x -2, from a quadratic polynomial in x whose zeroes are 2a +1 and 2B+1

x2-2x+x-2
x(x-2)+1(x-2)
(x+1)(x-2)
x=-1and +2
2a+1=2*-1+1=-1
2B+1=2*2+1=5
