Hi ,
Let p( x ) = 6x² + x - 2
1 ) if a and b are zeroes of p( x ) then
p( a ) = 0 and ,p( b ) = 0
6a² + a - 2 = 0
6a² +4a - 3a - 2 = 0
2a( 3a + 2 ) -1 ( 3a + 2 ) = 0
( 3a + 2 ) ( 2a - 1 ) = 0
3a + 2 = 0 or 2a - 1 = 0
a = - 2/3 or a = 1/2
similarly ,
6b² + b - 2 = 0
b = - 2/3 or b = 1/2
Therefore ,
a = -2/3 , b = - 2/3
a/b + b /a = 1 + 1 = 2
I hope this helps you.
