Here a +ß = -b/a = -12/3=-4

and ,

= c/a = 15/3 =5

So,

=>(a +ß)^2 = a^2+ß^2 +2aß

=>(-4)^2 = a^2+ß^2 +2×5.

=>a^2+ß^2 = 16-10.

.°. a^2+ß^2=6.
