The product of H.C.F and L.C.M is equal to the product of two numbers.

(L.C.M)*(H.C.F)=(A)*(B)

Answer:

Required relation is a \times b = HCF \times LCM

Step-by-step explanation:

Here A and B are two positive integers.

We know,

Product \: of \: two \: numbers = HCF \times LCM.....(1)

Here two numbers are A and B.

So,a \times b = HCF \times LCM

This is the required relation.

By this rule we can solve many problems of HCF and LCM.

For example,

Let any numbers are 5 and 10.HCF of these two numbers is 5.Now question is what is LCM?

By relation (1),

5 \times 10 = 5 \times LCM

So,LCM = \frac{5 \times 10}{5} = 10

Again let LCM and HCF of any two numbers are 12 and 24 respectively. If one of them is 36 then what is the other number?

By relation (1),

Another number =(12x24)/36=8

So another number is 8.
