Given:

a and b are two ratonal numbers b) a+b/2 <b

Step-by-step explanation:

"The product of two rational numbers is rational."

let take a is greater than b,

a < b

So, a + a < a + b

both side should divide by 2,

(a + a)/2 < (a + b)/2

2a/2<(a+b)/2

a<(a+b)/2

take a < (a + b)/2-------1

And a + b < b + b

both side should divide by 2,

(a+b)/2<(b+b)/2

(a+b)/2<2b/2

(a+b)/2<b

(a + b)/2 < b--------2

From 1 and 2

a < (a + b)/2 < b

Thus,a+b/2<b is a rational number between a and b.
