Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

  • A and B are two sets.
  • n(A) = 24 , n(B) = 22 and n(A∩B) = 8.

To Find :

  • The value of n(AUB).

Solution :

Given that, A and B are two sets.

We know that,

n(A) + n(B) = n(A∩B) + n(AUB)

=> 24 + 22 = 8 + n(AUB)

=> 46 = 8 + n(AUB)

=> n(AUB) = 46 - 8

=> n(AUB) = 38

Hence :

The value of n(AUB) is 38.

Verification :

n(A) + n(B) = n(A∩B) + n(AUB)

=> 24 + 22 = 38 + 8

=> 46 = 46

.°. LHS = RHS

Hence Verified!!

Answer:-

Given :-

  • A and B are two sets.
  • n(A) = 24 , n(B) = 22 and n(A∩B) = 8.

To Find :-

  • The value of n(AUB).

Solution :-

  • Given that, A and B are two sets.

We know that,

n(A) + n(B) = n(A∩B) + n(AUB)

=> 24 + 22 = 8 + n(AUB)

=> 46 = 8 + n(AUB)

=> n(AUB) = 46 - 8

=> n(AUB) = 38

Hence :-

The value of n(AUB) is 38.

Verification :

n(A) + n(B) = n(A∩B) + n(AUB)

=> 24 + 22 = 38 + 8

=> 46 = 46

.°. LHS = RHS

Hence Verified!!
