Given:

Two sets = A and B

To find:

A – ( A – B ) = ?

Solution:

Let A−(A−B) = x

Therefore,

x ∈ A ≈ x ∉ (A−B)

x ∈ A ≈ (x ∉ A ≈ x ∈ B )

= x ∈ A ≈ x ∉ A ) ∨ ( x ∈ A ≈ x ∈ B)

Thus, it is  False as ≈ ( x ∈ A ≈ x ∈ B )

x ∈ A ≈ x ∈ B

x ∈ A∩B

So,

A−(A−B) =A∩B

Answer: If A and B are two sets then A−(A−B) =A∩B
