Answer:

Answer - 20

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 - 6x + k =0

sum of roots a+b= 6-------------------(I)

product a b= k----------------(II)

and 3a+ 2b = 20---------------(III)

b= -2

a= 8

so k = ab = -16 answer

proof--------------

x^2 - 6x - 16 =0

( x- 8) ( x +2) =0

so x= 8 & x= -2

3a+ 2b= 24- 2 = 20
