If a and b be the zeros
of the quadratic polynomial
given below, then find the value of
a+b+ab.

Answer:

2x^2+5x+1

here A = 2, B = 5 ,C = 1

now ,

(-b+/-√b^2-4ac)/2a

[-5+/-√5^2-4(2)(1)]/2(2)

thus zeros is equal to

a = (-5+√17)/4 , b = (-5-√17)/4

now.

a+b+ab

[(-5+√17)/4] + [(-5-√17)/4]+[(-5+√17)/4][(-5-√17)/4]
