if A and B complete a piece of work in 12 days. A did the work for 8 days and I did the remaining,
then it would take 22 days to complete the work. How many days did each take to complete the
work?​

A+B = 12

B+ C = 8

C+A = 16

LCM of 12,8,16 is 96 which is total work in unit. So work done in 1 day or called efficiency

A+ B =96/12 = 8 unit

B+C = 96/8 = 12 unit

C + A = 96/16 = 6 unit . SO,

2( A+B + C ) = 8+12+6

A+B+C = 26 /2 = 13 unit . They work for 3 days together so,

13 ∗∗ 3 = 39 unit work is done and remaining is 96–39 = 57 unit which will be done by B and C

So one day work B+C = 12 unit , to complete 57 unit work , days required = 57/12 = 19/4 days.
