Hello

Here is your answer

Ratio of investment a to b=3:2

A's investment be 3x

B's investment be 2x

Total investment=3x+2x=5x

Profit%=5%

Profit=5*5x/100=25x/100=0.25x

3x+2x+0.25x-0.25x=855(Since the total profit goes to charity and remains a share value of Rs.855)

5x=855

x=855/5

x=171

Total  investment=5(171)=Rs.855

Profit=0.25x=0.25x855=Rs.213.75

Therefore Total profit=Rs.213.75

Hope it helps you....

Let the total profit be Rs. 100.

After paying to charity, A's share = (95*3/5) = Rs. 57.

If A's share is Rs. 57, total profit = Rs. 100.

If A's share is Rs. 855, total profit = (100/57*855) = 1500.

1500 is the correct answer to this question
