Given :  A and B of the same mass can climb the third floor of the same building in 3 minutes and 5 minutes respectively,

To Find : the ratio of their powers of A is to  B in an ideal situation is

Solution:

Power = Work Done / Time

mass is same , height is same

Hence work done is same

=> PA  = W/3

    PB = W/5

PA/PB  = (W/3)/ (W/5)

=> PA/PB  = 5 /3

Hence PA : PB  = 5 : 3

ratio of their powers of A is to  B in an ideal situation is  5 : 3
