since à and ß are the zeroes of given polynomial

x²+5x+k

so, à+ß=-b/a=-5/1=-5

à.ß=c/a=k/1=k

We know that

(à+ß)²=à²+ß²+2à.ß

(-5)²=11+2k

25=11+2k

2k=14

k=7
