If A:B=1:2, B:C = 3:4 and C:D = 5:6 what is A:D?

A:B=1:2, or

1B = 2A …(1)

B:C = 3:4, or

4B = 3C …(2)

C:D = 5:6, or

5D = 6C …(3)

From (1) and (2)

1B = 2A, or 4B = 8A = 3C, Or 6C = 16A

Therefore 5D = 16A, or
