Hey there !

Thanks for the question !

Solution:

Given Information:

  • A : B = 1.5 : 3.5
  • B : C = 5 : 6

To Find:

  • A : C = ?

Illustration:

We know that,

 \frac{A}{B} * \frac{B}{C} = \frac{A}{C}

Since B gets cancelled.

So Now we must multiply A:B ratio with B:C ratio to get A:C.

So Multiplying we get,

 \frac{1.5}{3.5} * \frac{5}{6} = \frac{7.5}{21}

7.5 / 21 can be written as 75 / 210 which can be simplified to 5 / 14

So the ratio of A:C is 5 : 14.

Hope my answer helped !
