if a + b = 1 and a- b = 7 then find a square + b square and ab​

a + b =1-----(1)

a - b = 7------(2)

2a = 8

--------------

a = 8/2

a = 4 substitute in 1st equation

4+b = 7

b = 7-4 = 3

b = a² + b ² = 4² + 3²

= 16+9

= 25

AB = 4 x 3

= 12....
