QuesTion:-

If a + b = 10 and ab = 18 ,then find the value of

a² + b² = ?

Answer :-

→ 64 = a² + b²

To Find :-

→ a² + b²

Used Formula :-

→ (a + b) ² = a² + b² + 2ab

Solution :-

According to the question,

→ a + b = 10 and ab = 18 ,

apply the given formula -

→ (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2 ab

→ (10)² = a² + b² + 2×18

→ 100 = a² + b² + 36

→ 100 - 36 = a² + b²

→ 64 = a² + b²

Question :

If a+b=10, and ab=18, find the value of a^2+b^2

Solution :

\underline{\bold{Given:}}

  • a+b = 10
  • ab = 18

\underline{\bold{To\:Find:}}

  • The value of a^2+b^2

\boxed{\pink {{(a + b)} ^{2}  = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab}}

By applying the given formula :

 \implies{(a + b)} ^{2}  = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab \\ \implies  10^2 =a^2 + b^2 +2 \times 18 \\ \implies 100 =  a^2 + b^2  + 36 \\\implies   100 - 36 = a^2 + b^2  \\ \implies 64 = a^2 + b^2 \\\implies a^2 + b^2 = 64

\therefore{\green {The\: value \:of\: a^2 + b^2=64}}
