If a + b = 10 and ab = 2, then find the value of : (i) a2 + b2 (iiy (a - b)2
(Hint: (1) Given a + b = 10, we have. On squaring both sides, a+ b2 + 2ab = 100
Given ab = 2, we get a2 + b2 = 96)​

solution \\  \\ a + b = 10 \: .......(1) \\  \\ ab = 2 \: ....(2) \\  \\ from \: eq \: no.2  \: we \:  \: get \: \\  \\ a =  \frac{2}{b} \\  \\ now \: substitute \: a \: value \: in \: eq \: 1 \: we \: get \:  \\  \\  \frac{2}{b}  + b = 10
