Answer:

135

Given,

(a + b) = 15 and b = 36

Find,

a^2 - b^2

Solution,

We know the formula

  • (a - b)² = (a + b)² -  4ab

Place the values.

=> (a - b)² = (15)² - 4(36)

=> (a - b)² = 225 - 144

=> (a - b)² = 81

=> a - b = 9

a² - b²

=> (a + b)(a - b)

=> (15)(9)

=> 135.

Hence, result is 135.
