(a+b)^2=100

a^2+2ab+b^2=100

a^2+b^2=100-2ab

___(1)

(a-b)^2=4

a^2-2ab+b^2=4

a^2+b^2=4+2ab

___(2)

comparing equation (1) &(2)

100-2ab=4+2ab

100-4=2ab+2ab

96=4ab

ab=96/4

ab=24

answer = 24

Answer:

We know that (a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

100²=a²+b²-2ab+4ab

10000=4²+4ab

10000=4²+4ab

10000=16+4ab

10000-16=4ab

9984=4ab

ab=9984/4

ab=2496
