solve the equation a+b = 2 and a-b = 10
then you will get a=6 and b = -4
A.
6 {  }^{2}  + ( - 4) {}^{2}
 = 36 + 16
 = 52
B.
6 \times  - 4
 =  - 24
I hope this helps you
