Answer:

since a/b = 3/2

then a = 3/2 x b - equation 1

the question is

(3a+b) / (3a-b) - equation 2

applying 1 in 2

=(3 x 3/2 x b + b) / (3 x 3/2 x b - b)

=(9b/2 + b) / (9b/2 - b)

by cross multiplying

[(9b+2b)/2] / [(9b - 2b)/2]

=(11b / 2) / (7b / 2)

Now multiplying first fraction by reciprocal of second fraction because when fractions are divided they are multiplied by taking one reciprocal

(11b / 2) x (2 / 7b)

both 2 gets canceld

It will be

(11b / 7b)

both b gets cancelled

So final answer is

=11/7
