Step-by-step explanation:

a:b=3:4

a/b=3/4

a=3b/4

b:C=8:9

b/C=8/9

C=9b/8

a/C=(3b/4)/(9b/8)=2/3

a:C=2:3

Given :-

  • a : b = 3 :4
  • b : c = 8 : 9

To find :-

  • a : c = ?

Solution :-

So, In a : b and b : c B is common So, Now take LCM for B ratio

LCM of 4, 8 is 8

a : b =( 3 : 4) 2

Here I had been Multiplied by 2 beacuse To get B ratio is same

a : b = 6 : 8

b : c = (8 :9 ) 1

b : c = 8 : 9

Now , If you observe B ratio is same Now , take common

a : b : b : c = a : b :c

6 : 8 : 8 : 9 = 6 : 8 : 9

So, the ratio of a:b:c is 6:8:9

Now , the ratio of

a : c = 6 : 9

a : c = 3×2 : 3×3

a :c = 2 : 3

So, the ratio of a:c is 2:3
