If a:b = 3:4, then what is the value of the expression ((3a^2 + 4b) / (3a - 4b^2))
Answers
Given :- If a:b = 3:4, then what is the value of the expression ((3a^2 + 4b) / (3a - 4b^2)) .
Solution :-
As we can see ,the given expression is not homogeneous.
So, there will be no exact answer. {Homogeneous means that a and b must have the same degrees in each term.}
Let us assume that, a and b are 3x and 4x respectively .
then,
→ {(3a² + 4b) / (3a - 4b²)}
Putting values of a and b , we get,
→ {(3 * (3x)² + 4 * 4x) / (3 * 3x - 4 * (4x)²}
→ {(3 * 9x² + 16x) / (9x - 4 * 16x²)}
→ {(27x² + 16x) (9x - 64x²)}
→ x(27x + 16) / x(9 - 64x)
→ (27x + 16) / (9 - 64x)
Therefore, we can conclude that, now for every value of x , we will get a different answer here.
