Here's your answer....

a+b=3 and ab =2

a+b=3

a=3-b........(I)

ab=2

a=2/b........(II)

putting both equation...

3-b=2/b

-b×b=2-3

-b^2=-1

b^2=1

b=1

b=1

So,a+b=3

a+1=3

a=3-1=2

hence, a=2...
