a-b=3

therefore, a=3-b --------eq :- 1

and

2a-2b=33

from eq.1 we have

2(3-b) -2b=33

6-2b-2b = 33

6-4b = 33

-4b = 27

therefore b = -27/4

using value of b in 1

a = 3 + 27/4

a = 39/4
