To Find,

The value of a: b: c,

Solution,

Since $\frac{a}{b} = \frac{4}{6}$ and $\frac{b}{c} = \frac{18}{5}$

Thus 6a = 4b ⇒ 30a = 20b (Multiplied by 5)

and similarly 5b = 18c ⇒ 20b = 72c (Multiplied by 4)

Thus  30a = 20b = 72c

⇒ 15a = 10b = 36c

⇒ a = $(\frac{10}{15})$b = $(\frac{36}{15})$ c

⇒ $\frac{a}{10} = \frac{b}{15} = (\frac{36}{(10)(15)})c$

If we remove the common factor of 5

⇒ $\frac{a}{2} = \frac{b}{3} = (\frac{18}{15})c$

⇒$\frac{a}{(2)(3)(6)} = \frac{b}{(3)(3)(6)} = \frac{c}{(3)(5)}$

Now again if we remove the common factor of 3
