A : B = 4 : 6

A/B = 4/6 ... (i)

B : C = 3 : 4

B/C = 3/4 ... (ii)

multiplying (i) and (ii), we get

(A/B)(B/C) = (4/6)(3/4)

A/C = 1/2

C = 2A

C = A + A

C = A + 100% of A

... (100% of A = (100/100) x A = A)

Hence, C is 100% more than A
