Given,

=> a:b= 5:3

=> a = 5/5+3 = 5/8
=> b = 3/5+3 = 3/8

Now,

=> 3a = 3(5/8) = 15/8

=> 4b = 4(3/8) = 12/8

Then,

Let the Percentage = y.

=> y% of 3a = (3a+4b)
Putting the values of 3a and 4b respectively.

=> y/100 x 15/8 = (15/8+12/8)

=> y/100 x 15/8 = 27/8

=> y/100 = 27/8 x 8/15

=> y/100 = 27/15

=> y = (27/15 x 100)%

=> y = (9/5 x 100)%

=> y = ( 9 x 20)%

=> y = 180%

SOME INFORMATION RELATED TO THE QUESTION :

Q. WHAT IS RATIO?

ANS-Ratio is defined as the comparison of sizes of two quantities of the same unit.

Q.WHAT IS PROPRTION?
ANS-
Proportion, on the other hand, refers to the equality of two ratios.

PROPERTIES OF RATIO :

*We express a ratio only between two quantities of the same units.

*We use the symbol ‘:’ to denote ratios.

*We call two ratios as equivalent if their corresponding fractions are equivalent.

*For ratios written as a : b, the first term i.e. a is known as the antecedent and the second term i.e. b is known as theconsequent.

*The order of the terms in ratios is very important i.e. the positions of antecedent and consequent are not interchangeable.

*If more than one like quantities are expressed in a ratio format, the resultant is termed as a Continued Ratios or a Compassion between the quantities. It can simply be represented as a : b : c : d…
