Answer:

a=5-b

(5-b)b=6

so 5b-b^2=6

b²-5b+6=0

b²-3b-2b+6=0

b(b-3)-2(b-3)

so b=3

or b=2

if b=3 a=2

if b=2 a=3

so a²+b²=9+4=13....

hope it helped u.

Answer :-

a² + b² = 13

Solution :-

We know that

(a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

Here

• a + b = 5

• ab = 6

By substituting the values in the identity

(5)² = a² + b² + 2(6)

25 = a² + b² + 12

Transpose 12 to LHS

25 - 12 = a² + b²

13 = a² + b²

a² + b² = 13
